Maybe some of you have already taken the plunge and started using Reader's Workshop or perhaps you're still on the fence. I wanted to give you some mini-lesson ideas, which were a big help to me when I started using this approach to reading instruction. If you are new to the blog, I posted an introduction to Reader's Workshop here that you may find helpful to read. I mentioned that there are 3 types of mini-lessons: procedural, strategies/skills, and literary/craft
I know that when I started using Reader's Workshop, I found any ideas that I could get my hands on very helpful. So, here you go, friends. Every idea that I could get my hands on and then some:) I hope it helps make your life a bit easier.
I'd love to hear back from any of you that give this a try. You can do this!
Thanks so much for visiting. I'm Heather. I'm a wife, mother and educator who loves trying to make beauty of the life around me.
