A little history lessonIf you would've told me several years ago that I would homeschool my kids, I would've definitely laughed....hard! It's funny how God's plans for your life aren't always what you'd imagine, but are somehow so much better than what you could've come up with on your own. God has such a unique sense of humor in how he orchestrates everything in your life to prepare you for the mission that He has for you. I'm a believer that our missions can change throughout our life and it's been quite an adventure watching God lead and guide our family to the place that we are right now. It may not be the path that you planned, but He's always leading.

the mission before meAs of this day, my mission is to educate my own children at home. I was both terrified and full of excitement to start on this journey and to be honest, there are still days that I feel that way. Will I be able to teach them the things that they need to know to be successful? Will they be receptive to my teaching? Will I lose my mind while doing this? All questions that have flooded my thoughts on many occasion. Then, I'm reminded that there's One that loves my children even more than I do. One that wants them to be prepared for their own mission someday. That same One is who guides me each day as I make decisions about what this "homeschool thing" will look like for our family. And for that, I'm so very thankful.
